Our vision is to work together preserving and transforming cities into places worth living in for everyone. This is what we are committed to every day in our work. We are on site, in the districts and neighborhoods. We are inspired by the people we work with and for whom we continue to work.

In the team of Stadtkümmerei, people from different disciplines and life situations come together. We differ in interests, age, knowledge, origin and much more and have made this diversity our greatest strength. As a team we face challenges, as a team we always dare to tackle new topics, as a team we are methodically breaking new ground and questioning our work anew every day.

Working in a network is particularly enriching for us. We maintain our contacts and through this consistency have grown into a permanent partner in urban development. These same values are also our benchmark when working with local people. How we got to now

The Stadtkümmerei was founded in 2016, but the involvement in the field of neighborhood management started long before.

1999

start of the urban development program Social Cohesion, opening of the first neighborhood management areas - we worked in the Wrangelkiez and around the Boxhagener Platz.

2005

funding ceased for the Boxhagener Platz neighborhood management

2005

office of the Flughafenstraße neighborhood management opened

2009

office of the Donaustraße-Nord neighborhood management opened

2015

foundation of the Stadtkümmerei

2015

funding ceased for the neighborhood management Wrangelkiez

2016

office of the Kosmosviertel neighborhood management opened

2016

office of the Innenstadt-Ost neighborhood management opened in the city Nauen

2017

start of the BENN program in Kosmosviertel

start of the BENN program in Wittenau Süd

Daniel Fritz and Thomas Helfen start to run the Stadtkümmerei together
