Social space orientation digital

symposium digitization

Digital social spaces shape and change our coexistence.

  • How is digitization changing classic approaches to neighborhood and district work?
  • What are the opportunities? Which legal and technical questions have to be considered?
  • How can we reach and support “real” neighborhoods digitally?

On August 21, 2019, the Stadtkümmerei team facilitated a symposium on "digital social space orientation" on behalf of the Treptow-Köpenick district. For this purpose, experts in social spatial practice were invited to face the growing phenomenon of digital social spaces pragmatically and creatively. The format, which was received very positively with around 80 participants, was aimed at those active in district and community work in Berlin - from district and state administration as well as from independent sponsorship - as well as other interested parties, including from teaching and research.
