Neighbourhood management

The goal of neighbourhood management is to bundle the variety of activities that happen as part of integrated neighbourhood development processes. The main local tasks of neighbourhood management within the Social City scheme include:

  • Area coordination: network building and engagement of all relevant stakeholders in the neighbourhood
  • Resident engagement: further development of continuous resident engagement based on an engagement strategy specifically tailored to the local area
  • Project development, management and monitoring: initiation of publicly and privately funded sustainable measures for structural area development
  • Integrated Action and Development Concepts (IHEK): strategy development in collaboration with local stakeholders and authorities
  • Communication and public relations: communicating the principles of neighbourhood development processes, e.g. by continuously developing the website, running a local drop-in centre and managing funds for public relations
  • Managing the Action Fund: holding in trust and accounting of a fund for micro projects up to 1.500 euros
